i was exploring skyrim and i came acroos a small alchemist shack near ivarstead.
i looked inside the shack and found some alchemy ingredients and a strange item it was a butterfly in a jar. it was the first time i found something like this. i picked it up and im going to put it in my house when hearthfire comes out.
i heard there are more bugs in jars to be found throughout the world.
i was wondering are there any other strange items like this in the game?

I think there is a bee in a jar in a ship near solitude but i cant remember what it is called but its an imperial ship.

yeah there are quite a few of them in the game, they also have a nordic rune inscribed inside the jar if you rotate the jar in your inventory you can see them

Maybe if you find all these jars and put them in a line, Umbra comes out

I saw a conspiracy type thing, there are a lot of jars, somebody used the letters on the base of the jars to find all of the jars or something like that.
they hold no purpose other than decoration though...
