/* In a typical time machine, someone goes in, and then comes back out a future point, and can see themselves but x amount of time later */

If you time travel, then you wouldn;t be able to see yourself in the future. Or you acomplishments.

For instance if Obama went in a time machine for 2 years, then he would be excluded from time for 2 years. So anything he could/would of done if he wasnt in the time machine, wouldn't be done.

Therefore if you wanted to look at your life in 2 years, don't go in a time machine because you wouldn't of existed for those 2 years.

UNLESS:

A time machine can travel to a certain point in a parallel universe, but in this universe you have lived out these 2 years.

So in order to see yourself in the future, you need to be able to go to a parallel universe. (if they exist)

Does anyone else think/understand this?

not necessarily. Think about it like this:

This is the timeline:

You go from this ^ point to

that^ point

then go back to ^ that point

you can now go live your life as if you never left.

you just lived a certain amount of time in a different time

I agree, you don't leave for two years, you go forward in time and then travel back to the minute that you left and then continue your life. You are thinking of fast forwarding time for everyone but you, then you would have been in there for two years and would have done nothing. I think you just got confused in your own thoughts.

The only way to time travel is by going faster than light.

YOU would go forward, but the world would not, if you would return, you would be a pile of ashes because you keep aging.

Unless a parallel universe exists, but this is not proven so the theory up there is correct.

Note: The speed of light is 300 Km/s, 300 Kilometer per second.
This builds up G forces no one would be able to survive.
So even if timetravel is possible, it is still impossible,

Its not possible to tie travel forward in time. if you travel faster than light it is sort of time travel as you can see images and events from the past but only from the past

Do you think if there was a "time machine" yet you could only for to the future not the past.

You're mislead inside your brain thinking you've gone far in front of present itself.

When realistically all you've done is stuck in a different place in the same time as everybody else?
