They had many different warning signs, submarines were spotted.
A message was sent, but "not received" by Japanese airmen.
Seems strange, that it's a remote base far from U.S coasts that happens to have many untrained soldiers, and it just happens to be bombed. Then quickly after we went to war.
so do you think the government let it happen so they could have an excuse to go into the war.

OopZ it was actually a miss communication between naval base and the pilot in charge of the operation. Stupid yes they were but if you look at it from their perspective they weren't.
