I wanted to say thanks for helping me with the build and I should be ordering in a day or so. But I have one thing I was wondering about,The case you gave to me to buy is kinda ugly so I was wondering if you could maybe switch it out for a better looking case? I would have picked one out and showed it to you and just have bought the one I picked but the one you gave me came bundled with the power supply. So If you could find a nicer looking case with the same power supply or one that is still modular and come out to the same price. That would be fantastic!

Thanks

EDIT: I found the same power supply for $80

Because the total of those 2 came out to the same price of the bundle and the case looks a lot better,
Will these work with the rest of my build?

Stick with the Hive, you can't get better for the price. I can't recommend the Rosewill case you linked because it kind of sucks. It's cheap and poorly designed. The Arc Midi is AWESOME. If you want a different design, there are options, but recommending a case is hit or miss with styling. Personally I'm in love with Fractal cases (with good reason), and since you didn't want a window, this case was the obvious choice.

Instead, if you want a quality case with some LED accents, I'd pick up a Core 3000 from, again, Fractal, and put two LED fans up front. Here's what white fans look like, LED ones will look GREAT.

And I'm being completely serious. The laptop industry is now light years behind Apple and if you were looking for a PC recommendation, there's simply nothing that fits the bill. Try new or different RAM, that's all I got. If you've tried both sticks and eliminated them both as the problem, I have no idea what's going on.

I'm not experienced with MacBooks. What makes it a much better buy than a PC with similar components? (except for the screen resolution)
The screen is the main selling point, years ahead of anything the PC market can muster. Otherwise, the build quality and design are untouchable by any PCs. Specs are not everything and design and screen quality should take priority over everything else with laptops.

That's something you have to answer yourself. Personally I'd much rather spend $1000 on an ultraportable Thinkpad tablet (X230T) and SSD for around $1100 all together because it fits my needs. But for the features you asked for, there's nothing better than the 13" rMBP. From what I can tell it fits your needs perfectly.

Alright, let me re-word it.

I need a souped-up machine with optimal power, portability, and versatility. I need to run complex programs that won't work unless my computer is fast-I need speed. I'm going to be using it for graphic and web design, social networking, programming, downloading music and movies-everything short of breathing. I do not have a need for a dedicated GPU. I want a high-resolution screen. I need something fast, light and portable.

I know my requirements are very specific. I won't be surprised if their is nothing that suits my needs.

That's a T530 I tricked out. If you want a mobile workstation, and it sounds like you do per what you're saying now, I don't know of anything better. You'll want to upgrade the RAM and storage yourself because all manufacturers charge too much and even then give you sub-par kit. RAM's cheap, under $5 per gigabyte, and if you don't need an optical drive, you can have two hard drives. You could use an SSD for apps, your installation of Windows, VMs, whatever in addition to a mechanical drive for anything else. It's wide open with customization.

So essentially this will run any program I throw at it, correct?
I also wanted to know the difference between the Thinkpad T530 and the Thinkpad W530. Seems like the W530 is more mainstream.

The T series is the more consumer-oriented of the two. The W530 just offers a few more higher-end options than you could get with a T530. Extreme Edition CPUs, higher-end workstation graphics, a color sensor, and some other things I don't remember. Of course, these are all more expensive and from what you're saying, you don't need them.

The 7850 doesn't compete with the 570 in price, that's the 7870. The 7870 is the better card.

Stock cooling is enough to cool the i7 at stock clocks, but for decent overclocking the Hyper 212 is great. I wouldn't go with the i7 in the first place, though.
