Hey guys, I thought id make this thread so I can keep you posted on any information. I am a huge fan of the Fallout and Elder Scrolls series.






Setting:

The setting I believe will take place in the Mojave again.
Jason Bergman who is a developer and senior producer for Bethesda Softworks said "You'll get no tips from me. But the Mojave Wasteland was a fun place to explore, wasn't it?".

*Update* On the 19th of August 2012, it was rumoured that Fallout 4 will be set in Boston in a post-apocolyptic adventure. This was rumoured as Bethesda have been researching Boston. A location in the new Fallout will be "The Commenwealth". The Commenwealth is apparently the pre-war state of Massachusetts. Massachusetts was part of New England.


Proof of Developement:

In 2004, Bethesda bought the liscence for the rights to make 3 fallouts. Fallout 3, New Vegas and 4. In 2007 they won the rights to the whole franchise. Another games company was in developement of making a Fallout 4, however they cancelled it due to the loss of the rights.


Storyline (My View)

Now Massachusetts is actually a reference which is made in Fallout 3 as the 'Commenwealth'. The commenwealth is actually made up of four states. However, Bethesda lead director Emil Pagliarulo confirmed that Massachusetts IS the Commenwealth in Fallout 4. There is a quest in Fallout 3 where a guy called Dr.Zimmer askes you to track and capture and escaped Android from 'The Institute'. In Fallout4, it is rumoured that 'The Institute is a technologically advanced place in Massachusetts. Scientists from 'The Institute have create Androids (Synthetic Humans) which have fake blood, skin, hair Ect.) Android have no rights in the commenwealth and are revered as Machines. Now there is a group of people in Fallout4 known as the 'Railroad' which opposes the enslaving of androids. This is clearly a reference to the 'Underground Railroad' group who opposed slavery in the 19th Century.


Engine:

According to an unconfirmed source, Bethesda has modified the Gamebryo engine and dubbed the Creation engine (Elder Scrolls: Skyrim engine) and it is possible they will use this for Fallout 4.

Thanks man. Like I said, I cant share much info as Bethesda are keeping a lid on this one... hopefully we will see a trailer soon

I personally love the fallout series from 1 to NV and there was a few beta fallouts I have played. Please keep this updated! It will help a lot of people out who don't like to research games!!
