Eminem was good back in the day because that is when all of his life events were going on. Eminem got famous from all of his past problems and a lot of people could relate to him. People like/liked him for how real he is.

"He's not even good anymore." The only reason you think he isn't good anymore is because he isn't talking about what he use to. If he would be singing about the same thing over and over (like everyone else in the rap game does now) then nobody would like him.
