Zwo wrote We all know that gas prices are obnoxiously high. And I can't help but think to myself WHY. Why are the gas prices so high right now? (Actually for like the last 5 years) I get that oil is not renewable and we will use it up eventually. I just don't get what makes the price go from $3.86 to $4.08 for no reason I can think of.

I'm not one to really believe in conspiracy's or anything to the nature of, but there has to be something going on with oil. Someone out there is making TONS and TONS of money and not much is really explained to me.
A low source of oil, and a growing population is a bad thing, but as humans we know that soon vehicles will run on something other than gasoline, but, overall, it is the companies, they want to be as rich as possable, the more profit the better for them.

Completely wrong. They are rising because the value of the dollar is going down. From 2006 - 2010 a gallon of gas in US Dollars rose 300%, a gallon in Euros rose 200%, a gallon in Gold/Silver it stayed the same.

Not completely wrong if there was no demand for it then it would be worthless. If there was a very high supply then the prices would go down because the supply is high.

You're wrong as well. Gas is a necessity to our every day lives. Everything around you runs because of oil. The demand is obvisiouly very high because we all need it and use it everyday. But as long as the Federal Reserve System keeps printing trillions of dollars and making the dollar worth less and less than you will never see gas prices go back down. When the FED keeps printing money endlessly it effects the entire world not just America.

The government can do whatever they want concerning gas prices, all the contributing factors, plus most places are running out fast, mso Serbia and Russia are main suppliers and they know it, therefore both charge high amounts for the product

This is jookes, the oil "conspiracy" is legit. Oil is at a shortage, why do you think we see all these cars on tv nowadays advertising lower fuel admission, oil is at a shortage and they know that, so to make you not buy it they raise the price, (they can afford to make u buy less for more) This is real they know that.
