Hi guys, it seems a lot of questions and wrong answers have been thrown about around aspects of the next XBLA Minecraft update.
From my Minecraft pc knowledge 1.8 was for 3 new mobs, Cave Spiders, Endermen and Silverfish. It brought Mpc villages and ravines into the game. When in caves you can sometimes find an abandoned mine and rarely with a chest.
Creative mode which is a big part of the update and basically allows the player to fly around and mine blocks by hitting them one time. There's also the hunger bar that is in this update and I personally think it's the best thing as with full meat stick/golden nuggets your health regens so it's like peacefull with mobs in a way.
The map is supposodley getting bigger for Xbox edition in this update as well as piston fixes and some bug fixes.

As far as I know their skipping from 1.8 all the way to 1.2.3 and that's only 3 or so updates behind pc.

Many things are wrong with this..
3 Mobs as the cave spider was introduced.
New blocks.
Creative mode.
there were also strongholds introduced and there called "NPC" villages.
and more...
