RAM and a solid state drive. Officially only 2GB are supported, but I don't doubt you can add more if it's on one stick. An SSD will give you the most noticeable speed increase as well as better battery life an portability due to the fact that they have no moving parts.

The SSD will be a more complex choice considering it does not have SATA III support but SATA II drives are not relevant any more.

it has a 32 bit processor, so no you can't have more than 4gb but with windows and most oses, it will not read more than ~3.5gb. get an ssd or at least a 7200rpm hdd because with net books you don't get any pci slots or any upgrade-ability...sorry
