I have always wanted to do it, but I've always worried that something would go wrong. Is it possible for anything to go wrong?

The worst situation that can happen is that it'll turn into a lucid nightmare which you can't get out of until your dream ends. That's about it and that's very rare.

It's when you're aware that you're dreaming and can change the dream at will. Since you aren't bound by any sorts of laws you can fly, levitate, anything.

The WORST possible thing that can happen is you have a heart attack and die.
If you get stuck in sleep paralysis you'll be unable to move or speak but you'll still be sort of awake which scares most people.

You won't do anything. I've had dreams where I can control my surroundings. Sort of like Inception lol
