is the new dashboard beta live safe for all flashed xbox 360s. if i update will i get banned or will it reset my firmware like before?

Again, many people especially on xbox360iso recommends reverting back to stock before any system update where others say its safe and pointless to do this.
The choice would come down to you, but personally I think why take the risk if its something so easy to do?
