Double the price? really?

Ok, prove it. Find me a pre-built PC with the following specs for less than $999 (half the price of the equivalent mac ):
Quadcore i5, 3.1GHz
27" IPS monitor @ 2560x1440 resolution
4 GB 1333MHz RAM (expandable to at least 16 GB)
Radeon HD 6970M 1 GB

(Here's a hint: the 27" monitor alone will cost you $700+)

And my case has been rested.

A: Not half the price
B: Not prebuilt

There were only two criteria and you didn't meet either of them.

Prebuilt = Crap

My argument still stands, the components are better, for $90 more. Better Mobo, Ram, GPU, PSU.

Prebuilt doesn't mean it's crap.

Take my Mac Book Pro for example.

Every single person in my firm uses a Mac, do you know why every single person in my firm uses a Mac? Because they do not suck, the screens are fantastic, the build is very nice, they are perfect with the most versions of CS and run them fantastically, all of our devices are compatible, they look great in our office too.

You couldn't convince a single person in my firm to switch from Apple to PC if you put a gun to their head. It's as simple as that.
