I prefer to call them script kiddies. Basically the only knowledge they have is pressing a button on a program that does the work for them.

yeah i have respect for the ones who have a os like backtrack 5 and spend hours tacking down websites for a good purpose

but script kiddies who do it because they think its cool, they should just die

they think there cute for disconnecting people.. annoying, just do your best to avoid them.

First off, It's not script kiddies, And for the poster of this a ddoser wouldn't have hit off a website that easy it had to be one heck of a botnet with over 10k bots :/ Script kiddies play with scripts building a botnet/ddoser is changing a few parts in a script to allow people to connect to your irc or whatever else you prefer then you compile most ddosers on youtube are shell booters with some wack shells, Also more than likely there were on bt hitting you under a proxy or vpn no real hacker hits someone offline by there real ip unless there skids.. Sorry bout your website get better protection mate. -Nano

I think you're a little misguided. Many websites can be taken offline with a single connection.

Take into account the fact that OP's host nulled his IP, instead of doing what they should have done by putting a hardware firewall in front of his server.

That instantly tells me OP has a cheap host. And if he has a cheap host, his server's network probably isn't that powerful, meaning anyone with a hackforums booter could knock his server offline.

Sorry OP, but if you want this to stop happening, get a quality host.
