If you are just using it for gaming go with an i5 but if you are going to be rendering go with the i7

Buy a SSD if you want a fast boot-up.

Since the majority of games don't benefit from hyper-threading ( 4 cores, 4 threads compared to 4 cores 8 threads ), it's hard to justify spending the extra $100 when it can be spent elsewhere.

For the build, well, it's quite messy.

That particular Antec case is simply just bad. Non painted interior with no cable management and no sleeving. Very old case. It was good in its prime, not now. Something like the 400r is better in every single way.

An 850w PSU is overkill for this build, even though it's doubtful that the RoseWill Extreme actually outputs that. The Rosewill HIVE series are good, same goes for the OCZ ZT if you're looking for quality + full modularity without breaking the bank. Never cheap out on the PSU. Eggxpert has a quality PSU top tier list.

M-ATX board for a full ATX case? Not the best choice, mainly since when you end up getting a second card, it's not going to have as much room to move the air coming from the GPU core. Grab something like the ASRock Extreme4 or the Biostar Z77. Anything higher end has a lot of cool features on paper, but no one really puts them to use in real tests.

Already expressed my opinion on the CPU.

Unless you know for a fact that you're going to go over an 8GB RAM cap, get the 16GB kit. If you're not, save $50 and drop it down to some low profile 8gb 1.5 kit since you won't see a performance hit.

I hate rating builds, but as it stands, 4.5/10.
