Okay i am speechless when it comes to this, my computer is literally top quality and built to play games, but its not running cod mw3 without lag even on low settings. I can play cod 4, mw2, css fine, but now mw3. The campaign takes at LEAST 5 minutes after the cutscene ends to load the bar, and even after the long wait it still lags... Here are my specs:

CPU : AMD FX-8120 8 Core Processor
RAM : 8GB
Graphics Card : Nvidia GTX 550Ti
Liquid Cooled so im not worried about overheating.

Monitor Resolution is : 1920x1080 - i have tried turning this down but it makes the games graphics look like crap.

The power settings are set to high performance, and i just dont know what else to do. Please help me i will +rep!

Thanks!

Your computer is not top quality but aside from that, try updating drivers and using google, post on steam support forms etc.

I just read over your op and its very odd because you say you can run mw2 but not mw3, they are essentially the same game, graphics wise. Try putting the exact same settings on mw3 that you have on mw2, make sure v-sync is disabled.

Sorry man I'm out of ideas, if it's a common problem then they may make an update to fix it.

Edit: Could be an issue with your processor or gpu or something like that, either way, they may come out with an update to fix it.

The only thing i could thing would slow it down is that fact that the resolution is 1920x1080. Cause the resolution on my laptop is 1366x768. But this graphics card should be able to handle it. i just bought it yesterday and it was $150. im definitely gonna take it back if i cant figure the problem out! Thanks for your help though. I really appreciate it.

If it is a cracked version of MW3 then there was a problem with one of the cracks that caps the game at 44fps. Try searching around for the crackfix

Your gpu should be able to handle mw3 maxed out so its something wrong with something other than the gpu
