I'm just verifying something. Does a APU need a discrete graphics card in order to still work or can I add it later when I'm done setting up the OS and drivers?

It has integrated graphics on the chip, more powerful than other offerings. Still pretty wimpy, but better than Intel onboard.

Yes it means you have a CPU + GPU in one chip.

Also if you pair it with a AMD Radeon HD 6450,6570 or 6670 you can activate duel graphics which is what im doing in the next few days.
