just got my new computer, i bought an HP P7-1240 desktop performance computer. i bought it for about $600. i know that building is bettere, but i am still a little unXperianced (see what i did there Xperia ;)) with computer. but anyways the computer has an AMD A10 Quad core with 10GB of RAM ( which i am going to put another 8GB of RAM in, it is upgradable to 32GB) windows 7 home premium, AMD Radeon HD 7660D, and a 1TB Hard drive.

the processor is 3.4 GHz but with a turbo boost i can get it up to 4GHz, this is buy far a better computer than a mac mini for the same price. also i should be able to run Sony Vegas pro 11 good.

Bit of a waste to upgrade your RAM if it is 10GB, and you don't need to be experienced to build a computer.

how exactly do you plan on putting 18 gigs of ram in? I cant think of any number times 4 that would equal that.. And I'm pretty sure they don't make 9 gig sticks.. just curious

Why didn't you get one with an i5 and 8gb of ram because that amd processor is crap and 10gb of ram is overkill for gaming, let-alone 18gb.
