Okay guys/ gals, I am 17 and going into my senior year of highschool. I am looking into the military and looking to enlist very soon, but I have many questions. I know "go ask your recruiter" - I would but each recruiter from each branch wants you to join them so they will lure you into with what I want to hear. So I am asking you guys, what do you think I should join? Either; Marines (I dont want to hear "only men join marines" bc thats not true.) , Navy , or Airforce.

Please give me your thoughts on each! It will be very helpful! Thank you soo much,.
ps: Dont hate.

Hey,

Well it all depends on you. Would you prefer being out at sea, in the air, or on the ground. I would say air force but that's just me, I think being a marine is more dangerous as you are on the ground. Air force will take sometime just because all the things you have to learn about planes and etc. Navy the boats -can't really think of one-

I mean I would love to travel. Thats the one main thing I would like to do. And I know the military can offer that. But One thing don't call me a **** but I'm scared of heights like a lot of people.. 90% of people in the airforce stay on the ground but still, I dont want to get anywhere near jumping out of a plane. But I am going to talk to a USAF tomorrow hopefully.
Thanks!

I want to actually do more. I know the Guard is good and all, but it has limits. the branches I chose are more broad and fit the needs I am looking for.

Personally i would choose Air Force i chose the Air Force and along with my sister and brother the deployments are not bad im intelligence so i fly around in the c130s and look for SAMS (Surface To Air Missiles) turning on and alerting planes on lower altitudes that can get shot down that there is a threat Below.

For Intelligence, did you have to jump out of a plane or do anything with heights? I am fine with flying in planes and such, but jumping... Idk

What i had to go through was a Training called SERE idk if your familiar with that but it is a survival camp and its a camp and its to train your for things like if a plane goes down and you have to survive you go through interegations where they hit you and stuff like that but in the end its not all that bad
