So my sister was deleting things from her computer and found a program for 'Codec-C', I've been trying to help her uninstall it, but it just won't.

All we know is that it is Malware.

Can any of you computer whizzes help us?

Thanks in advance.

Setting fire to the computer should take care of the virus. If that doesnt work then you may need to microwave your PC.

But yea seriously this guy seems to know whats up: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I do believe it is from live stream adverts such as premium play it is advertised as Internet Explorer addon. While searching around people are advising to use Revo to uninstall it.If you uninstall via windows normally it removes any HP Files from your pc if you have any i would reccomend system restore or reinstall windows.

Looks like that worked, just checking with Malwarebytes now.

I know how to force un-install it.

Download a program called 'Advanced System Care 5'.

Link: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Once you have downloaded it, install it.

Then go to toolbox.
Click on IOBIT Uninstaller.

It will bring you to this screen

At the top it will say 'Uninstall' and 'Force Uninstall', click Force Uninstall.

It should find it... then follow on screen instructions to remove it.

If that fails, download this program.

It finds hidden viruses on your computer and updates regularly.

It found 415 viruses that Norton or Malware-anti Malware couldn't find.

Scan your computer with that.

Here is what it looks like: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Hope I helped
