I found Reach to have a necessary skill level to be able to dominate multiplayer. Yes it was incredibly laxed but there was a competitive edge that could always be found in battles. To me it's more of the Halo community that's dying and not the game itself. The once hardcore gamers are gone and have moved on. If Halo 4 creates an intense multiplayer that can draw back in those players than I think the Halo community will be back in a flash.

i dont see how MLG not having their events on it makes the game suck, the bloom makes it more realistic and makes you time your shots so they arent spammed, granted not many people play it is because they cant accept the armor abilities making the game more competetive, armor lock was misused its supposed to deflect grenades off of you when stuck and save you from a rocket blast not spammed when your shields are down, active camo and sprint took skill to use one for stealth and other for quick movement, the ranking system is designed to make you take a long time to level up so your not on the last level immediately unlike in where you level up five times in one match cod and keeps you playing and unlike cod theres a cap so you dont hack it there are alot of good ideas in reach almost everyone refuses to see its a great game dont complain about it because you dont like the ranking system or bloom thats bull you cant fire a weapon without kick i honestly cant wait for halo 4 and see where they go with it only true halo fans will accept the changes not stick to the same thing like cod does

Hopefully the multiplayer for Halo 4 will be as fun as Halo 3.

reach is what killed it but also MLG ruined halo 3 since they canceled MLG for halo 3 and moved it to reach and that was when alot of the known players stopped playing and reach was just a piece of crap game

I actually liked Reach and like the changes they are making for Halo 4. Halo 3 was the Halo that I couldn't stand. Everyone starting out with abilities are way more balanced than having to pick up an item like in Halo 3. Everyone starting out with a rifle of their choice is also pretty good (as long as they can balance them out well.) Seems pretty interesting and cool. I am actually excited about this one.

If you're a true Halo fan like me Halo was never dead, and Reach didn't kill halo. I still play Reach every now and then. Halo is definatly not dead, and Halo 4 is going to be even better then Reach was.

I loved Halo 3 but the leveling system eventually got on my nerves. I became a lieutenant and when I saw that the XP was almost double than what I had at the time, I still played but not as much as I used to. I also did not like the idea that your rank could be lowered wether it be for leaving the game or just having a bad game. I was glad to see that Reach was using a Call of Duty leveling up system and to see it again in Halo 4, got me extremely excited.

I think that its the fact that no game can match the "great" games in the past. Halo 3 was such a good game with such a fan base that when the new halo games came out, it was never able to compare. Similar things happened in Cod, where MW2 or is some people's opinion Cod 4 was so good, that no future game could compare. Since Halo 3 was suppose to be the end of the series, I feel Halo 4 will be fun for a week or two, then fall and become boring just like the others only because the fan base has just been torn to pieces.
