Now lets analyze these facts shall we? Each new Call of Duty game out sales the last one. But with Halo 3 each new Halo game sells less than the previous. So how is COD dying?

Halo may out sale COD this year because of the name, also because Halo Reach wasn't all that good, and because COD comes out every year so people want something knew. But after all the hype dies down we will see what game is currently being played the most on XBL, and just like since MW2 came out, a COD game will ALWAYS be the #1 most played game on xbox live. Even Borderlands 2 can't top a COD game. Modern Warfare 3 is the #1 most played game, Minecraft is #2 and Black Ops is #3, so if MW3 is dead that means all these games are also dead.

A little on Halo 3

Halo is my favorite game i own and played every halo its the reason i started gaming. Halo 3 was the greatest game to have ever been on xboxlive it has a great ranking system,Played great and was balanced unlike some games out there no other game could touch it call of duty 4 made its attempt to kill halo 3 but it just couldn't compete with such an amazing game. Halo 3 was a nice fair game with no bull crap like over powered "perks" or in halos case "armor abilities" i can remember watching MLG events and i found it so exiting but things have changed since then maybe to the point of return...


The mistake

When Bungie released halo reach i just couldn't take the game seriously. The game's ranking system is a joke i could be extremely good at the game but then im matched with a terrible teammate the game needed a true skill system the arena did nothing anyone could reach onyx. Also the graphics look cartoonie i honestly feel that halo 3 looked way better almost perfect. And the Bloom where did that come from? it wasn't necessary the game would have played perfectly without it. Halo Reach lacked on the competitive side as well i sat and watched at it became less popular in MLG events it just didn't play right its was hard to take the game seriously and more games like Call of Duty started to become more focused on and its the same game year after year and it still played out way better than Halo Reach ever could have because they keep the good quality's of Call of Duty when Bungie threw all Halos good quality's out the window and replaced them with ones that ruined the game.


Disagree?

If you disagree with me look at this Halo reach has been out for 2 years now it has a population of 30,000 - 20,000 a day. Halo 3 had a population that was still in the hundreds of thousands if no millions. Halo 3 held a strong population because the game was fun, balanced and actually took skill to play your rank actually meant something back then but now its just how long you have played the game.


Halo 4 following same path?

After watching Halo 4 gameplay and reading info on the game I'm not pleased. 343 is trying to make the game as much like call of duty as possible with its ranking system, Load outs,hit markers, kill streaks(ordinate drops), music for wining team, point based game types like infinity slayer also the ability to see through walls tryarch is actually doing the same idea with Black ops 2 so another relation to Call of Duty its so like Call of Duty they did,nt even change the game engine for Halo 4 just kept the old one and played around with the lighting this will FAIL. Armor abilities are on of the main things that killed not only are they back they are even worse one that i can get over it the ability to see through walls its just a joke. 343 you need to listen to the halo community a little more on what then want i know so many people that agree with me when i say all those things ruined the game that's why Call of Duty is the leading game now and its population is way greater than halo's now i hate Call of Duty and it pains me to see it happen literally every kid i know and have talked to said that Halo went down hill when Bungie released halo reach. be your own game and keep the good qualities that keep people playing Halo in the first place. I am not against change, change is a good thing but for halo to survive it need to bring somethings back that where taken away. Stuff was just made up to give a online story that wasn't needed.

How i think halo 4 should have been


highest skill system (but once you obtain a skill it cant go down to prevent boosters)


Exp earned like credits based on how well you did as an individual to help get you grades when you get skill instead if the old 1 EXP a win


No armor Abilities because it ruins the game and they make the game unfair and unbalanced


No Ordinates drops (kill streaks) it makes the game unfair


No Bloom or Increased recoil because it wasn't a problem in the other Halo games


More friendly to competitive gaming but still fun like Halo 3

halo 4's campaign

When i say the Halo 4 Gameplay at E3 i was questioning if it even was halo anymore it looked like metroid prime in so many ways nothing even adds up either like how did master chiefs armor change? "Cortana worked on your armor while you were in cryosleep". That just doesn't make sense how could she shes just a AI nothing more than a hologram she cant physically do anything. Master chief is no longer the last spartan making me less important master chief was suppose to be humanity's last hope. the Elites are now enemies now what happend to the Arbiter he was chiefs ally they fought side by side the elites and the UNSC finished the fight together what could have possible happend there was no longer a threat. and Cortana is starting to deteriorate that was never mentioned before why all of a sudden a year after it should have?. 343 isn't really following the story Bungie set up when a Bungie employee was interviewed about how much more advanced the technology was on Halo Reach and why isn't it in the future he replied with " the technology was lost in the fall of Reach" Meaning the DMR should not be making a return nor should the armor abilities.


Over all I fell 343 is taking halo the wrong way and following in the foot steps of Bungies mistake i know many people feel the same way as i do and some of you may disagree. I've been playing Halo from the start i am a true Halo fan I love halo! but the series will die if you don,t fix your mistakes i wanna see Halo as a success again.

MLG brings in attention to games if pros are please more people will see the game for how great the game is and will pick it up and make it #1 again. i just want to feel like i have a voice i want to be heard this game needs to be better than reach or its dead.

halo will only be dead when the last game come out. why say a game is bad when you havent played it yet. come on dont use other peoples thoughts as your own. be optimistic.

I think it all started to go down hill after Halo 2.... Halo 3 they added stupid bubble shields power drains exc... then reach came along with its jet packs and armor locks and the game was just ruined!

I agree with most of you. Halo reach did kill the game. However if they manage to perfect Halo 4,there may be some hope. I want Halo to be fun again
