I just finished school and wanted to burn the .avi files on my computer to discs.
I have the blank DVD discs and they have enough storage to fit the videos on. I want to know, to burn it onto a disc do I need a DVD burner on my laptop or can I just put it on?

I want it to work so when I put it in my DVD player it just plays by itself

I've watched TUTS but I'm still unclear as to whether I need a DVD burner in my laptop or whether I can just burn .avi files to discs.

I did not need a burner.

I placed the Disk into the drive, then when it came on the ' My Computer ' i dragged a film file onto it. And on the left hand side it said ' Burn to disk '

Hope it helped.
