so im on android 2.1 on my captivate and im trying to go to 2.2, but the mtp usb driver wont install so i cant update from the kies, also i cant get cwm to open either using the 3 button combo and yes my phone is rooted please help

What happens when you try and install the USB driver?

like i have the drivers installed i can use usb storage and everything, but the mtp usb driver wouldnt install

Is that a custom ROM or just rooted device?
