I think they have a lot of options. I'll make a little list.

* I could see one revolving around the Psijic Order, because atm they're completely shrouded in mystery (although I guess that's part of their whole allure) and they seem to have a part in the way current events play out.

* One that a lot of people currently expect/want is one involving the Dwemer/Dwarves. Again as with the Psijic Order they're shrouded in mystery. (Specifically the vanishing of their entire race from Tamriel) They also seem to be a cool option because of their advanced tech (the rest of Tamriel is still catching up with the tech pre-dating their disappearance)

* A forsworn-centric dlc is something that comes to mind aswell. Maybe it could involve a new section of map in the south-west. They could take the Reach and possibly make the Civil war a 3 way fight.

* Those are the main ideas that come to my mind, without the ideas of going back to old areas (Cyrodil, Vvardenfell) or uncharted territory (Summerset Isles) in the elder scrolls series.

Griingo wrote The best add-on I recommend when the game first game out was for them to make it where somehow a mage found out how to do time travel and it ended up taking us back in time to solve the mystery of the Dwarves disappearing and all that, they said not to worry something similar will be coming for sure I don't have the e-mail they sent BUT you can send an e-mail and ask, I am sure they will say the same ;)

Yeah i never really thought about that. Perhaps i will email them, thanks.

I can imagine all of these ending up as dlc especially the dwarven one.

I think the Morrowind DLC would be great, as playing Morrowind nowadays is a bit monotonous with the bad graphics. A Cyrodiil DLC would be great to, as I would LOVE to wipe out the Thalmor

Just becuase it is hinted about eruption in morrowind does not mean there will be a DLC,

in Oblvion the Sommerset Isles was hinted at alot but no DLC was made

Again though, I think the companies previous dlc on their recent games is a good hint as to where they might go. Dlc will likely flesh out existing subplots a little better, rather than a repeat of fleshing out another undeveloped character. There certainly are a few options, but I do think the thalmor are a very strong possibility. Going back to old lands is always a fan favorite idea, but how often has bethesda done it?

Having said that the thalmor were not spreading across tamriel taking it over under the control of the summerset isles were they?, and why would they construct a very detailed replica of morrowind and its mountains just outside of skyrim. And once again this is a speculation.

Including all that extra land, like morrowind though, I'm pretty sure was just a gift to the pc modding community. They did the same thing in new Vegas, included a lot of extra land that never really got used in dlc.
