Alright DawnGuard gets a 9/10 from me.
This is why, my friend and I got the DLC at the same time he choose to be a DawnGuard I choose to be the Vampire. We both played the DLC to it's entirety finding everything we could. Well here's the problem once we both finish the story line the the Dawnguard had all the cool weapons, spells, amours. (and a few things I won't talk about) As well as everything you get from being a Vampire. When I say everything I mean everything. The vampire lack a crossbow equivalent and don't ever learn how to make them or the bolts. While Dawnguards get this plus the ability to convert to Vampire after the storyline is complete.
All I'm saying is what were they thinking when they made Dawnguard, it's choose Dawnguard or miss out on pretty much everything.

you dont think you get an equivalent to the crossbow when youre a vampire? are you serious?

Well the name of the dlc IS Dawnguard not Vampire.

You can loot crossbows and bolts and I am pretty sure buy them as well. Derp. Crossbows won't change people's decisions against a Vampire Lord.

While that is indeed true the artwork for the DLC shows the Dragonborn with Vampire eyes. Plus with it being called Dawnguard they left it open so you could choose to fight them or join them. It's not called join the Dawnguard.
