Did you already purchase the GTX 560 ti? I find it hard to believe it would even post, especially when it does not have native 2 x 6 pin PCIE power connectors. That particular MSI card blows hot air coming from the CPU and heat-pipes directly into the already presumably shoddy case and that can pose a major heat problem if you're not monitoring it correctly via [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] for example.
No I haven't purchased it, but what I've heard that with my setup I will get about 45fps on bf3 on ultra
I guess from what you're saying I might as well build my own PC vs. put it in a 4 year old dell.

Well I hope you have included a new PSU in the budget and possibly a new case. A low-quality insufficient unit simply won't cut it. The PCIE lane its-self takes up 75w alone. Something like a [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] or [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] are both quality units and will work fine. The case its self is another possible physical issue - assuming it somehow can hold the 10 or 11'' 560 ti, you might encounter heat problems if you don't have enough ventilation and fans moving around and causing circulation.

Being on a tight budget when looking for CPU/MOBO does not always mean you're restricted to a certain CPU manufacturer. The i3-2100 is the same price as the AMD 955 and a half descent AM3+ board will run you just as much as a MSI Z77 G43.

I guess from what you're saying I might as well build my own PC than use an old dell. I was just trying to save as much money as possible with still having good components in the pc.

By the time you're done with upgrading this and that, it practically will be a brand new build anyways. I completely understand trying to save as much money as possible but sadly it's not as easy as it seems. But think of it this way, if you build a custom PC now, and select decent parts from the help of this forum...you won't have to encounter these troublesome issues that are stopping you from doing drastic upgrades.

Yeah, I hate how I will be spending 900$+ D: But I wanted to get a GTX 560 Ti 2gb because I didn't want to upgrade my GPU for a while ( they are so expensive, the 560Ti won't be obsolete for a few years.
