What do you expect in a forum full of 12 year olds who can't follow directions? This topic is pretty helpful to everyone who uses it properly, so why put it on hiatus because of the idiotic actions of some people?

Because even those who do it properly never give me any indication that they actually built the PC. 90% of the time they don't post back, rep, thank, PM, or anything. What's the point in doing these if that's the case? This is a big purchase at any budget. I can't imagine someone NOT reporting back in any way. It's ridiculous. I couldn't care less about thanks or rep, but just a way of letting me know I'm not wasting my time is all I want.

You're not obligated to do any of this, I don't see why you or anyone else should waste time on something nobody follows through with. You're right, nobody (from what I've seen) has posted proof they bought the build made for them. I think we can put build requests away for now, we can stick to answering questions and what-not. If someone posts asking for help with a build, we can help them there.
Just my thoughts..

This a million times over.

From now on, I'll be using the up/down voting system thing on request posts to indicate whther they are done right. If anyone else would help me by doing the same, it would help! Just make sure you're right... Don't get TOO nitpicky. Also, I'll be adding this at the end of every post. If you do builds, can you include this in yours too?

And maybe from now on Generation, Overclocker, wowmanshark, -Pancakemix-, itsMichael, Sue, etc., let's post in the discussion topic. I'll update the topic with this new up/downvoting thing; I hope it works. I also hope this is not getting too complex. Let's have no more posts that are not requests or completed builds in this topic. That includes us!

****PC Build Request Form****

Budget & Currency: USD $1,200. I have $ 1,000 saved, but I will have $1200 soon.

Peripherals & Monitor: None of this is priority to me. I can easily upgrade these components later, but if you find some cheap, nice looking first person shooter gear I would appreciate it.

Games: This is mostly a gaming computer. I would like to max out on all games. (i.e BF3, MW3, and to all new games coming out soon such as black ops 2, Border lands 2, dead space 3, aliens col. marines)

Software: I'm also using the computer for editing HD video/rendering. I'll be using After effects and sony vegas.

Aesthetics: Beautiful case is required. On the case a side panel would be nice, but not required. Although, I would like to have some great looking LED's shining through the side.

Rebates/Promos: Not required, but wouldn't hurt to have a few bucks knocked off, or a games. i.e a gpu I found comes with Border lands 2

Details: This is my first build ever. I've heard a lot of information about overclocking, but am very skeptical of it. My father tells me overclocking shortens the life span of the components, and I want the computer to last for a very long time.. I will try overclocking, but please adjust the cooling accordingly. I don't want my investment to melt. I want the case to have lots of fans, and I need to be able to monitor its temps.

When: As of right now I have $1000. I will reach 1200 very soon. I plan on buying all the parts within the next two weeks or sooner.

Main uses: Hardcore gaming/ HD Video editing.
