My parents bought me a pc a few years ago, so its nothing amazing. But there is a game I really want to play. My computer meets all the requirements besides the graphics card. The game requires atleast a GeForce 315 512MB or Radeon HD 5450 512MB. The problem is, I do not know which one my motherboard will support.

Here is my motherboard.

You're not limited by the MOBO. It has a full PCI express x 16 slot which is what you want for a single video card. You'll be limited in terms of video card selection by your low-end PSU and case with no ventilation.

Just to make sure. Will this be a decent choice? [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

If all you do is want to play lower end games, sure. It's a low profile card and consumes very little power. Just note it's not a drastic change coming from integrated.

It might as well be integrated as it's not the best try a 550 maybe.

It really depends on what this game that you want to play is. Considering it needs 512mb of Video card memory as a recommended minimum, then it's probably a fairly demanding game so you should be looking at something like a 550ti or a 6770, both are great cards at a good price point.

But if you do choose to go with something higher end you need to check your PSU can handle the card, and that your case will allow adequate air flow for the card, as most pre built generic cases don't have decent airflow.
