I broke my collar bone, because I was long boarding and I hit a huge rock that stopped the long board and I flew off and broke my collar bone which effects the movement of my arm. The doctor said I might need to see a surgeon for surgery, but it was very unlikely. But I want to be prepared so does anyone know surgery is like? Im just pretty scared...

you will be on gas and air, you will hardly feel anything, it's just after the surgery you will feel very sore just rest after you get it done, if you do get it done.

Surgery is not bad since you'll be knocked out

I Broke my collarbone before as well.
I DID NOT have to go through surgery so im sure you won't especially because the doctor said it was unlikely.
Just don't move your arm around much for the couple weeks, then slowly try to move it around more often.
I had to keep it in a sling for about 2 months, then got it taken off so i could start moving it around more.
It's a long process, but it will heal and you will be fine.
Oh ya, and Avoid playing any Contact sports for about 6-12 months even after it heals so that it can get back to normal.

My friend just recently broke his as well. He needed surgery. He had it he said he didn't feel anything because he was asleep. He said it was sore for about a week or two then it just healed pretty fast. And he's made a full recovery. You get pain meds in case it does hurt after the surgery though. Don't sweat it though.

i doubt that your gunna need surgery. if you do, its afterwords thats gunna be the problem. surgery dosnt hurt while its happening, you'll be sleeping. its sore afterwords.
