Well recently my friends computer died because when he went to go on his desktop, which is an terrible old Compaq from 2002(I have no clue why he still has that), all it show was the blue screen of death whenever he started it up. He tried re-installing windows with different copies of windows his room mate gave him. When it wouldnt let him have the option to re-install windows with those disks, he went and dug up an old authentic copy of Windows Xp home edition which was already installed on his computer. It gave him the option to re-install windows, but it would not let him re-install windows with out an older version of windows disk.

After that, he went to go dig up another computer he used, but had a bunch of problems wrong with it. It's an old Sony Vaoi from 2001. The problem with it was that it would get random blue screens or randomly freeze or randomly restart itself. He dug up the System recovery disks for the computer and recovered it back to when it was factory new. After he done that, the computer still freezes and randomly restarts itself. Right now he is under hard times and cannot afford a new computer or practicly anything for to try and fix it. If you guys know what to do to fix these problems, please tell me so i can help him out.

(Note:I should put that once he restarted the computer and installed his router, it will say he is connected, but it will not let him get connected to the internet.)
