I've seen kids that are "special needs" act like dicks to people because they won't get in trouble.

I hate when people make fun of special needs kids for the way they look, act, etc. I also hate the people that try to provoke special needs kids to try to get them in trouble. It's just horrible to make fun of special needs kids and I completely agree with you.

Vindictivemojo wrote I think its terrible how people make fun of special needs kids. My younger brother is autistic and people at school are mean to him alot. they make fun of him and he gets mad and hits them and he gets in trouble for it. they were going to expell him and not do anything to the other kids... I go to this thing called buddy baseball every wednesday and its for special needs kids who play baseball with a "buddy" (i am my younger bros buddy). i see these kids and i just think to myself "how can people be mean to these innocent kids". its terrible. not only that but sometimes i hear people telling other people they "belong" in special ed because they do something ebarrasing or make a dumb mistake. i dont know if its just me or if you guys too think this is wrong?
cool story bro...

When my school had Viking night (game between the last names of a-l m-z) the captains were special needs kids. It made me feel so good when I saw their faces lit up since they were apart of it. Sure they didn't do any of the physical stuff, but they ran out with the flag colors, and danced around and had an amazing time. If you bully someone that has special needs, you might as well just go jump off a bridge, yeah theyre "different" but you don't have to make fun of them, they're people too. How would you feel if you or someone you know was bullied because they were "special", everyone is special in their own way, maybe physical or mental, it does not give you the right to pick on them.

My friend Collin has a sister with autism; when we did a speeh for English class, he started to cry, because his sister got picked on. And the following Friday, for Autism Speeks, he gave his speech, and was on the news for it. I would have never guessed his sister had autism until his speech.

dude its really cool how those kids felt like a part of the team when they were captains. over at my highschool they have their very own basketball game every year and they get really happy and everybody plays and has fun. i also think that was really cool about the speach. me and my bro went to the autism speaks walk in chicago this year for the first time. it was really cool knowing we werent the only family who had a autistic child.

Might brother has Aspergers, a form of Autism, so special needs, I've had about 30 fights with lads older and younger for picking on him, we contrast so heavily in personality, like he's a recluse and I go out and drink, but I still love him, nicest lad I know, and after all he's been through, he's now 20, had a book published and goes to university and is looking at top marks in his first year. Can't stand bullies man.
