So I have an HTC Inspire 4G and about every other day or so it does this thing where it will lag like crazy and it won't stop until I restart it. I already have advanced task killer and I have tried rooting and, neither of them worked. Please help.

Advanced task killer probably really doesn't do anything to help you out majorly. I would delete any apps that you don't use to free up some memory, rooting it would be your next best bet, but as you said that didn't work. Delete all your text, too. Or you could always do the good old factory reset. Backup your contacts.

Delete the task killer. That's not how Android memory management works. It kills the process, sure, but it then immediately restarts itself, using more processor time that it would have in the first place. When Android uses RAM, it's being used to make things faster. Don't mess with it.

Otherwise, install a non-stock ROM and get rid of apps you don't need. Overclock it, too.
