hey guys my router name changed back to linksys and it went from locked to open. Also i cant connect to the internet with Wi-FI any more. I will +Rep for a solution. Im using my neighbors wifi for now.

If you still have the router setup disks, you could reinstall the routers. Thats really the only thing I can think of, because you should still be able to use your wifi. If you have any trouble after reinstalling the routers, call your support number.

Go into CMD and type 'ipconfig'. Now look for 'Default Gateway'. Mines 10.0.0.138.
Type this into your address bar and your modems settings should come up. Now just look for a button that says reset modem, or something similar to that.

so my router will go back to being locked if i reinstall it and will the wifi start to let me connect again?

usally this happens when a virus infects your network and can control the settings of the router/modem(commonly the host likes to unlock the network and connect random IP's to the network) I fixed this by buying a new router but you can fix it without buying a new one Im just not 100% sure how to fix it fully. Even if you do fix it theres a risk that the Host of the virus could try to infect it again.

EDIT: most wifi errors caused by this render the router/modem useless or they will try to flood it(DOS) which is most likely why you have no wifi.

Reset router by getting router setup cd and putting it in ur comptuer and start over with that.
