I think it looks really good. Better than the book at least.

We watched the original movie this year in my English class cause we read some parts of the book.

Movie was great, I hated the book... ( As I do all books )

I lold at this trailer.
I showed this trailer to my language/literature teacher the day after it came out, and she lold at it too.

Even though English is a subject I do not enjoy, I loved this novel, and because it is one of the few stories I took delight in (and still do), I was ashamed at this trailer.

For one, and perhaps the most blatant, they're using modern hip hop music for the trailer, so one could guarantee that the soundtrack will be complete trash.
The costumes, even though they appear to capture the party-life and craze of 1920s, seem oddly out of place. It's as if the designers tried too hard.

Most movies don't capture a whole novel in two hours, but this one just seems to be very far from it.

However! The director is the same guy who directed that hilarious modern Romeo and Juliet movie, and that one had a unique take on the old classic, so I'm still going to watch this movie. I would have casted Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Nick Carraway though; the movie would have probably had a lot of support from hipsters. Tsk, tsk.
