maybe start the game up !!

You need to go to your system settings, memory , highlight your Harddrive and press Y then press delete system cache, then you shoud get the update when you start the game!

go to system setting ----> memory --------> games ---------> Modern warfare 2 -----------> (make sure ur in the mw2 folder --------> modern warfare 2 gamesave<--- delete that
restart your xbox pull out ethernet and plug back in then sign in and go onto mw2 and go thru screen until it pops up

If your on the xbox 360, go to system settings, then go to network setting, then test xbox live connection. Leave for it to test the connection then after its done, sign into your xbox live account, put MW2 in and it should work.

Just wait.. I've been waiting for a while but eventually it came up.

I got disconnected from xbox and i signed back in and it told me to update so just wait a little bit.

It might not be released in your region yet, just a guess. Be patient.

I just got the patch now. I was playing a Ground War game and suddenly i disconnected and i signed back in and got the patch ;) Thanks for hte help guys!
