Can someone answer this, is multiplayer on the 360 online or is it only splitscreen multiplayer? Because on the marketplace it says Multiplayer : None?

It's both, not sure why it says that on the Marketplace.
You can join your friends games and they can join yours (if you allow it in your settings when creating a world).
