I could not agree more mate. I see this happening all the time, and I myself received it. I got gifted at 6 posts for seeming a Mature and going to be active person.

This does not mean I am a full leech or was desperate. A badge or a name colour does not make you have any more power than others who don`t.

This is an amazing post. I don't see why they think they're all high and mighty because they have been using the site a little longer than someone else. Look at me, I've been on the site for over a year and have over 3k posts, and the gold I am using right now was gifted to me. It shouldn't matter if you were gifted or not. I have gifted new members before just to get them started within the community. Not for some stupid badge.
