I wish it was that simple Adding saturation upon saturation, adding noise, changing colour tones just to name a few But you are right. I used this [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] image & then attempted to make it look a certain style. I've noticed that I only like creating unique stuff, away from the norm, you know ;)

I know right. Im sick of seeing copy&pasted pictures on a black background in this section. I see so much great work in this section get overrode with pointless topics w/crappy work.

It looks pretty nice. Perhaps you can turn the opacity of the overlaying text down to about 75%, and add a nice color curve with possibly a contrast.
