Im going to start playing on PC now, but i have no idea on what kind of Gaming Computer to buy. Any suggestions? The highest i can go is $973.

a used macbook pro would be good for that price i bought mine at the apple store and it was $1500 new and i love it it does great with games hope this helps

go build a PC on like TigerDirect.com or Newegg.com
You can custom make a PC to ur likings and its cheaper than buying one whole.

MACS are not for gaming !!!!

By a PC of newegg with any of these Graphics cards and hopefullya quad-core processor

macs are very limited on game choice and abilities in general I could rant all day about why macs blow BUY A PC FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

idk its about preference and the games you will be playing. look up things about computers to learn more.
But you can build your own gaming comps for 3k which is way over your limit, but they would be TOP of the line. You have no idea..lol
However, I wouldn't get a mac since 90% of the computer users use the Windows OS. So Linux wont be useful and Mac isn't supported by ALL game developers.
