Yet again, we see a pit bull attack. Not surprising though. They are a vicious breed through & through. Bred to kill, and are to barbaric to have anymore. Fair enough in the past, so hunt with, but we have technology now.

Again, this attack (like most pitbull attacks) was totally unprovoked. Luckily the girl didn't die.

No one should own a dog for a "pet" that, if he gets loose, will attack and kill the first person or dog he comes across. Pit bulls have been selectively bred to do just that.

Of course there will, as usual, be the people who defend the pit bulls. The ones who don't care that a little girl nearly died, they just get upset at pitbulls getting a bad name & defend them. "Ohh it's the owners fault!" "Oh he was provoked!" "My pitbull is harmless"

No idea why we haven't killed all pitbulls yet.

its the owners, there probably no respect for the community and dont give their dog any respect so the dog treats everything else that way

I see your concern but you can't take out a whole species just for that.
Why not take out the cat population for scratching me?
You just can't.
This is a warning to be careful around animals.

That's horrendous, one of my best mates who has quite a strong fear of dogs got mauled by two pitbulls and was put in hospital.. He's fine now but he's got some pretty bad scars from it..

It's very often NOT the dogs fault, they've raised to be aggressive, which gives them a bad stereotype.

I blame the owners. People these days don't understand what is required for dogs like that. They think that they'll get it cos it looks cute as a puppy, unaware of the energy that they have and effort that is required to train and maintain them.

I have been attacked by a rottweiler when I was 10 years old and I was drug across the yard.
But In about 90% of attacks it's because the dog's are neglected.

See. Told you they would come defending their precious little puppy.

"Why not take out the cat population for scratching me?"

Well, how many people get killed by cats every year? 0.
If a cat gets annoyed, it'll meow alot, or pee on your rug
if a pitbull gets annoyed, it'll put you into hospital. Or worse.

For people who just blame the owner.

Arrggh. I'm sick of all the dog lovers who claim all dogs, if properly trained, will make great human companions and will be friendly to all, and then want every park around their house to be leash free.

That's simply bullcrap. Some dogs are just inherently ill-natured. Many can be trained to be friendly to humans, but just like humans, there are asshole dogs just like there are asshole humans, regardless of the upbringing. It's not nature vs. nurture. It's nature AND nurture.

Furthermore, it's rare to have dog owners that are actually experienced dog trainers, obviously. 98% of dog owners don't have a clue what they're doing really. So, even if a borderline dog could be trained well, most dog owners won't train them as well.

"It's not the dogs' fault, it's the owners'."

So why do I dislike that above statement? Because it gets used so much by dog owners... about other dog owners but never themselves. It seems so common that people believe their beloved pet will never harm anyone. They think they've trained their dog well, and any reports of the species of their dog biting someone or another dog were due to somebody else not training their dog well.

Sorry people, you have to look at this objectively. A dog is a dog. A living animal. There are hundreds of millions of them living in this world. Not every dog is perfect, and even with good training not every dog is going to behave well. As a dog owner, you cannot assume you have a perfect dog, and you cannot assume you are a perfect owner. You are perfectly willing to accept that people can be criminals even with a good childhood upbringing, then you should be willing to accept that dogs can bite even with good training.

If you lost your pets/childs/friends life to a pitbull you wouldn't be so arrogant.
