Hello, I have a i5 2500K and I think it's a little to hot, it's overclocked to 4.2ghz and it's at 45C when on load (just web browsing n stuff) when gaming it doesn't go over 60C for sure. I think that it's a little to high if I am honest as I have seen people with this CPU with a much lower Temperature and overclocked with a god CPU cooler, the cpu cooler is a Corsair A70 so it's not like a bad heatsink n fan. CPU Thermal paste is Arctic MX-4 so it's not a crappy one, Is it the CPU Voltage - My PU voltage is 1.360. Any suggestions

Edit: I did reapply the thermal paste using various techniques BUT i didn't put a lot on - only a pea size as you should.

Any suggestions and also if you have a I5 2500K or a higher modal could you post your temperature so I can compare ?

60C underload for a 4.2ghz overclocked 2500k isn't that bad. It's well within the safe range.

Under Load means heavy gaming, not browsing the web. But 60 degrees is not bad, if you are scared get a hyper 212 evo. I have it and When I play BF3 with a 2600k @ 4.5ghz it stays calm around 48-52 degrees. What edition is your 2500k?

Well i'm still with my i3 530, love it to death.

When I used stock cooler, it idled at 45c lol.

Using water cooling, currently at 4.5GHz. It has a speed of an i5, according to benchmarks.
