Here is my wish list: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I would like to keep the price below $1300, including the monitor.
I was wondering if all these parts are compatible and if i'm making the right choices in regards to the quality and value of the parts.
Also, i would like this computer to run games like skyrim and bf3 at least at the high settings.
Thanks

You selected an i5-2500. The i5-2500 CPU us not able to overclock since it is not fully unlocked like the i5-2500k is. It is a couple of bucks more and is extremely worth, whether you OC now or in the future when it starts to get faded out and you want that extra horse power. From what I see, everything is good to go an compatible. The only thing I'd suggest is to not get the keyboard if you already have one and spend the extra money on a budget aftermarket heatsink like the Hyper 212 in a push/pull config and some AS5. You could also grab a much better Samsung / LG panel - they are one of the few companies who actually make their own panels and have superior quality when compared to lower end companies. Low profile RAM wouldn't hurt either.

For $20 bucks more, get a better keyboard. If you're going to get a junk rubber-dome, get the cheapest one possible. At this price, it's worth a little extra to get a mechanical keyboard. The Cooler Master Quickfire and Rosewill RK9000 are good budget boards and will last decades, not to mention have far better switches.
