I think it is when they have done or seen something bad, and there saying sorry to 'God'

But yeah, I dont believe in 'God'.

It's called the Trinitarian cross. You touch your forehead, then your lower abdomen, the your left shoulder, and then your right shoulder, Making the sign of the cross on your body. It symbolizes The fact that christians believe that God is always with you.
