iso are uselly used to pilote games/music for your computer. They are also used to get games onto your Jtag/RGH. The only modding i know was hot swaping but they fixed it i think.

This ISO can be burned to a disc and ran, or injected and ran. They both function the same.
As for Xbox modding, an ISO would be the modified files for a game.

An iso is the image of what should be on the disk. its a file on your computer. It basically tells your computer what to burn into the disk. It can be modded to permanently change what the computer/xbox reads on the disk (like WaW lobbies)

so an Iso can be modded or not, but most likely on this site someone referring to an Iso, will be talking about it being modded. but on sites like xboxiso . com, you can download the ACTUAL game Iso, and burn it to a disk to get the full game not modded.
