I have been looking at a alienware x51
I am going to start gaming on it, like call of duty and battlefield and games like that.

Is that a good one to get?

No, build it yourself unless you like to pay $300+ for no reason.

Any Alienware is overpriced in my opinion. The started specs are terrible. It uses an i3 which is crap for gaming and it only has 4 GB of RAM. I recommend at least 8. And as for the graphics card, it's not bad but don't expect to be running games at max setting with no lag. If I were you I would build my own. You can get one twice as good (literally) for the same price.

300?! That's nothing for alienware.

They double the price of the parts.

Custom build one. It will be much cheaper, and more efficient. With Alienware you pay an extra 300$ for small LED's. When you go for a custom build post in the PC support section again saying what style of PC you want and I will try my best to complete your order.

I have never built a computer or even know where to start on building one. That's why I was just going to buy one.

If you've never built one yourself before, look around for something a little less expensive, but if you want it to look pretty cool, then get the Alienware. I've got one that I upgraded myself, not too bad looking, and works fairly well.
