It looks dark at certain points.

It looks as if you just made an image that had the dimensions to fit the background and flipped them on each side.

Not much work done here, but it's okay.. practice makes perfect.

Look up some tutorials, and good luck designing!

Why does it not blend in towards the bottom and top? It's just a big black gap. And the name isn't properly aligned either. Looks like it was slopped on in the end. And the two texts aren't the same either. They both are different if you look close. I give it a 6/10 because it still needs a bit of work.
