Have you ever been in bed or anywhere in general and its gets so quiet to where you cant hear anything, and after a while you hear a very long screeching sound? this happens to me all the time and the only way its goes away is by making noise

this makes it a very long and restless night. I need to have the TV on when I sleep

I know what you're talking about. It's nothing to worry about, just annoying. The noise is just your body working. Try playing some soft music, ocean noise, or quiet rain noise when you're trying to fall asleep...

the right word would be piercing sound and some people have a problem where they hear it 24/7 and they try to solve it by going deep under ground from that annoying buzz, i personaly hear it a lot when im tired and get home from school no ones home all electronics off and ear is on couch arm
