Oh, you can't rip DVDs. They have copyright protection on them. You must find a copy of that DVD on the internet somewhere.

so should i just download a torrent of the movie that i want? is there really no way? alot of my friends talk about doing it all the time?
Downloading them through torrents? Yes. But copying one straight off a DVD? No because as soon as you try to it gives you a warning saying that it's copyright protected and locks you out of copying it.

A software to rip them? That doesn't exist. All DVDs are copyright protected as I said. And managing to do so is actually illegal. Hence the big FBI warning label on all discs?
