Okay, so.. I bought some cheap headphones from the dollar store (retarded idea, i know. i take full responsibility for making a stupid decision.) and, the end of the headphone broke off in my headphone slot.And, me being dumb, I pryed it out with a very small flathead screwdriver. But, when that happened, I screwed something on the inside of the headphone jack up, and when I plug headphones in the sound is shit and I can't hear any vocals. I can make it work if I wrap tinfoil around the headphone plug, but I need a more permanent solution. I would love it if someone could help.

Try contacting Apple for a solution or try to look inside the slot to try and notice something that doesn't look right.

I'm wary of contacting apple, because I'd rather not have to pay alot. But, I feel like when I took the headphone piece out, I pried out a little bit of a substance that was almost like steel wool, and that might have been what was making contact with the headphone plug, and now that it's gone, the headphone doesn't quite make contact anymore.

Might just have to coat the inside of the slot with tin foil with a chop stick or something a long the lines of that. Don't put it around the head phones jack so you have to keep putting back on. But also make sure that you can take the tin foil out by keeping some bit of the tin foil out so you can pull it out.

Yeah, it's just I have trouble getting a piece of tinfoil to get inside the slot. I'll probably try that later, I appreciate you trying to help dude. ^^

I just recently bought my iPhone 4 and I have the SAME problem I didn't mess it up though..

The tinfoil + chopsticks seems like a good idea, i havent tried yet. If you bought it retail, take it back to where you got it dude.
