Ok, I can see a lot of topics basically asking/saying the same things so I thought I'd write a very long thread and hopefully cover most of the things that are being asked.

Is Dead Island worth getting?

Yes, it is. It's worth getting because it's different to most of the other zombie games out there. I also had a better experience with it than I did compared to L4D2 and Dead Rising.

How is Dead Island different?

It is different because it is a free roaming zombie survival game with elements of:
L4D. (Left 4 Dead)
Borderlands.
Dead Rising.

Are there any weapon duplication glitches/money glitches?

Yes, and they are explained.

Weapon glitch tutorial:

(Needs 2 or more people and 1 person MUST have a gun.)

I know that one has been patched but try this one:

Have a gun (Infinite ammo would be best), throw the weapon you want to dupe on the ground, crouch over the weapon, aim for the center of it and keep shooting it, don't stop. While you're shooting it, have your partner pick it up.

It should give him/her the weapon and it should also still be on the floor for you to pick back up.

Money glitch tutorial:

(Needs 2 or more people and 1 person MUST have a gun.)

I think there's also a money glitch, I saw some guys doing something that looked like it anyway.

I think what you have to do is have a gun (Again, infinite ammo would be best.), and keep shooting anything with money in it. Your partner should be able to continuously loot whatever you're shooting without the cash ever going away. (Until you stop shooting.)

This is tried and tested and does work.

I just got the game, will anybody help me?

Personally, no. It would ruin the experience if a level 60 with modded guns did everything for you. It's a lot cooler to play with people 1-2 levels higher/lower than you.

What is your favorite weapon mod?

Personally, my favorite weapon modification is the Deathstalker mod.

Where can I get Diamonds and Brand Champagne?

You can get Brand Champagne from:

The fridges in the Hotel. (Act I)
The freezer things in the Supermarket in the City. (Act II)
The Science Lab. (Act III)

You can get Diamonds by:

Trading the Brand Champagne with Svetlana, A drunk Russian woman that can be found in the south east direction of the Life Guard station. She will be in one of the Diamond bungalows that stands over the shore, you'll know which one because you will see a small blockade of suitcases that you can easily jump over to get to her bungalow.

The amount of XP you get from giving Svetlana the Brand Champagne increases every time you complete the game.

How do I make unbreakable melee weapons?

(You need to have Horizon, 7Zip and HxD downloaded and installed!)

Have your Dead Island save on a USB and put the USB into a USB port.

Open Horizon, and on the left it will say "Device".

Open that, find your save and drag it into the space in Horizon.

Go to contents and right click the save, extract, make a new folder called "Backups" and extract it to there.

Then right click the save in Horizon again and do the same thing but extract it to the desktop.

Right click the save on the desktop and go 7zip - Open archive.

Extract the save_0- (Or whatever yours is called) to the desktop.

Open HxD then drag the save_0- in to that.

Find the weapon you want to make unbreakable and look for the part in the hex that says "BF 80 00 00" change only those 8 figures to "FF FF FF FF".

Save it.

Open the save_0 archive with 7zip and drag the save_0- into that, it will say "Do you want to replace this file?" click yes.

Go back onto Horizon and click on the contents tab of your save again.

Right click the save and press "Replace file".

Replace it with the save_0 on the desktop.

Save, rehash and resign. (I do it twice just to make sure.)

Close Horizon.

Safely remove the USB.

Plug the USB into your Xbox.

Go to system - Memory - USB - Games - Dead Island - (Your save) - Move to your hard drive.

Load Dead Island up, load your gamesave and try it out.

If you have any problems email me your save and all your ID's and I'll do it and send it back to you.
